I still wouldn't mind taking one of those S0's for a little ride. Dodge has cured the '1 wheel spin' problem, right?

I'm not biased.

There are probably some that say about our cars, "wow, it's pretty fast for a Subaru."

If you make a Yugo or a Pinto go 7 seconds, I'm a fan. I don't really care which car it is.

I dunno, that SRT 2 weeks ago at tracks was hitting 13.8/7s and would OWN me on the freeway....trapping at 101+

Dunno what kind of mods that car had - but I saw a black SRT4 running pretty consistent high-13's and trapping at 100+ all night long. I was skurred.

And I assume you drive a STi? lol Not to sure what the usual trap speed is for a stock STi, as I've only seen one myself on the highway (we played around a little but to much traffic, so we took it easy and I just gave him a wave as did he).
No I'm not kidding, and No I don't drive an STI....just a measly ole Stage 2 WRX. The SRT had to have been at least a stage1.

Is that the run from the shop in Canada? I think I read somewhere that the dyno runs weren't calibrated for elevation or something and that with the correction factor placed in the equation the #'s came out to ~225whp or so. Still awesome, but no stronger than the 2003's (which makes sense because they supposedly didn't do anything to the motor). They said the 04's also run similar times and trapspeeds down the 1/4 as the 03's.

Interestingly enough the 2004 SRT gets a LSD - but straight line traction isn't improved very much due to the original unequal length half-shaft design. It's corner exit traction that gains the most from the LSD. Who woulda thunk it?

Yeah, that's the one from Canada. I didn't know the numbers were skewed. phew, you saved me from buying a Neon.

I knew the LSD wouldn't help the launch. The Spec V's have LSD's and it's still really tough to get traction off the line.

wow! these cars are potent, I can see them evolving to AWD and sleeker body forms in the coming years- right on Dogde! Now if only GM can do something with their J-body counterparts (cavalier/sunfire) I guess their concentrating more on the Buick's leather seats , well at least Ford is spicing up the Focus.
