Falken Tires Locally
#2
I got mine from rons performance. depending on size, you may have to wait for them to order. if youre not in a hurry, what i did, was call ALL of the tire companies i can find, and ask them for a quote for all 4, mounted and balanced. once you get price ranges, you can use the competition side of the house... make them compete for your business and get lower prices...

You can check online also at Vulcan Tire or Edge Racing. Prices with shipping were still pretty competitive with local pricing. If not, Tirerack has great pricing too and probably the cheapest shipping to Hawaii. (For my 19's would've only ran $160 for a set of 245/35/19 and 275/30/19)

Joey, what are your plans for the tires? I am currently running the star specs as my autocross tire, they are very good. They have 200 treadwear, so a little better than the stock RE070 at 140 treadwear. For a good all around tire, I'd look at the Bridgestone replacement for the RE750.

You know I was looking at the Potenza RE050a PPs, but I might check out the one you suggested (its called the RE760). I know I dont autocross, but I do like to drive "hard" every now and then. I'm wondering if the RE760s or Falken 452s will be too soft for my taste??

You know I think I may have been going a little crazy wanting Rt-615s or Star Specs. These are gonna be daily drivers, so thinking about it I guess I dont need tires like those. I have Kumho Ecsta MXs right now though, so I wanted something similar to that, but I'll admit these tires are a little extreme for me, haha.
