failed recon
i went for my recon test today. the only thing i failed was for the front suspension having no travel. to me the car drives fine but it must have a visible travel to pass recon. this was only for the front. i have the coilovers set to a modest level and is at full soft. these are the bc racing coilovers. even at full soft, the front will not compress w/ just a push from a big man. is anyone elses bc coilovers this stiff up front? i have a legacy gt btw. i'm gonna pull the coilovers off the front to inspect them and readjust them. the back passed fine. the only next apptment available was for june 1st so i have time to fix this problem. but damnit i need another alignment because the 30 days will be up by then.

Will you need another alignment? I thought you only have to correct the issue that you failed on. You might want to check though since the reason you failed was suspension related.
And I'd just loosen the preload on the spring too. make umm soft.

You're bothering with recon on a leggy? Isn't that a family grocery getter car?
I'm definitely kidding, but generally if you don't have a big *** spoiler and loud *** exhaust, or your car looks like is dragging because it's so low, you shouldn't have a problem as long as you have a current safety check.

And I'm going to bet they are fine with that. I don't see anything drastic happening by not going along, recon is just another form of income for the state anyway, it should he assumed tickets are in the same boat.
