the key would be item (4) because well... almost any/all exhaust systems (aftermarket) will "make more noise or sound than the vehicle made when manufactured."

it's very (VERY VERY) subjective and the problem is that there is a "generally accepted" method for measuring that,.. however it is not spelled out in the HB or SB versions of this bill.
and then it'd be up to the law enforcement / inspection station to have a properly calibrated meter and utilizing a "generally accepted" method of measurement before it can be "nailed down" to "how loud is 95db"
all comparisons are subjective even when you search for it ("how loud is 95 decibles") on google

there are a lot of "OR" statements in that ...
as in: "this OR that" would cause you to be in violation of the bill.

****, when I use to have my nur-spec, I use to drive through kam IV road right past the Police station(too lazy to go around) to and from work and never got bothered for it, except one time from a lady cop, but not for the exhaust(i thought it was) she thought I was drunk, got off 1am from work, she saw the uniform and let me go hehe....
anyway, I ran that exhaust for awhile and never got pulled over for it, even when they were right behind me...could be luck or I'm just blessed...
but your right, It's ****en loud...I'm happy with my HUSH, I can actually here myself in the car and it's alot better for my baby daughter....

If you do go to court for an exhaust ticket.... I wonder if you could bring your facts about the law and say to the judge now prove to me that I'm over the 95db because obviously the cop didn't have a meter on him. Just like the tint laws....No meters...no tickie...
You could try an exhaust from buschur with the quiet mufflers....that's something I was looking into for my sti..
My wife would drive through blaisdell with the stock sti exhaust and manage to set off pples alarms....go figure

I think realistically that it is not worth paying taxes to have all the cop cars outfitted with db meters.
If anything, they should cite you for no recon, take a picture of the exhaust on the car (so you can't change out and go to recon) and then have recon measure it. To me that's the only clear way for them to prove you were breaking the law.
