exhaust question

I planning to redo my exhaust system a was worried about the safety inspection. First off how many cats do you have to have on an exhaust I know some cars have one but some have 3 like an sti and is its required to have a resonator? here's the setup I was thinking about. Invidia n1 race catback no resonator and a catted Invidia downpipe.....Help

so another words I can go catless on the down pipe cause the midpipe will have a cat with a race exhaust no resonator and I should pass.

I'm running straight 3" turbo back to a generic muffler. No cats, no resonator. I love it.

I've never had a problem with getting safety check with no cats.

No cat, no resonator, no problems here either. I have a crucial racing dp and crawford catback. It's actually kind of quiet compared to a lot of subies that I hear.

Having owned a Nur Spec and an Invidia G200(divorced downpipe, Perrin uppipe), I would honestly say that Invidia has the right pitch for me personally. Nur Spec is a bit too loud and muffled whereas the G200 wasn't too loud on idle, but sounds pure when you put your foot into it.

had my hatchback pass the first time with an RSR exhaust but it was hangling low and still never check. but when i had to get recon again since my friend got pulled over after turboing it. then they checked under the car and the exhaust was like 2 inches from the ground. has no resonator and was straight pipe. i dont think they check if you have a resonator or cat.
