Thanks, Dan!

It's neat to get a review of an Evo 8 from an STi owner!

They'll probably be pissed anyways since you have an STI.....

That's the only reason the let me drive the EVO. They told me if I can afford a STi, then I'm the "kind" of person they want to test drive the EVO.

They made a really big deal out of it like it was some kinda honor to take it for a test drive.

Im sure there are a few cool people that work for them but.....they really turned me off at the new car show earlier in the year. Thats why I didnt even go an check the car out. They were being a**es to everyone.....and I know people who know a few of them personally that said they are just like that....kinda stuck up for some reason (wtf...they think they sell bimmers or something).

But they were feeding me all this crap about it being the baddest car in the show.....guess they didnt see the copper nsx on the other end...or the sl500....or the M3 and M5....but hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

I just can't believe the way they do business around here. Tony Honda had 5 S2000's and Mitubuttheads had 4 EVO's. They both wouldn't let one go for MSRP.

I just don't believe it. "Back Home" on a weekday afternoon, mid- month, they would have jumped all over us to sell a car. Both lots were empty and all the sells people were just sitting around.

Someone could have made a little less money, yet sold a car today, oh well.

That'd be fun, Or dangerous...

I'm not sure if I understand what that means? What is a wrx compared to that? Does that mean for every one turn of the wheel the tires turn 12 degrees?

Thanks,

Actually I was wrong, the STi has a 15.2 or 15.3 to 1 ratio, vs the evos quicker 13 to 1 ratio steering rack, Basically, the evo will go from lock to lock in 2.1 turns vs the STi's which will go in about 2.7 turns. Quicker steering ratio means quicker response (or twitchy handling) for those who may or may not like that.

I thought the WRX & STi's rack is 15:1, with the STi Spec C's being 13:1, as is the EVO's.
?I think that's right.

My book doesn't say, but it does say that the MY-04 STi, WRX, OBS and RS all turn a circle in 35.4ft

Like ive stated before........just because one thinks he/she can drive, doesn't mean they can drive.

It goes to show that EVO's dont suffer fools as easily as STi's. Meaning that you have to be a better driver in the Evo than you would have to be in an STi. As the STi will forgive driver's mistakes where the EVO obviously doesn't. Hence all the dumbasses crashing um.

I want one.-scu

I dont know, i just picked up my 2003 silverstone s2k for under MSRP from Tony Honda. In fact, most dealerships I went to didnt even bother hitting me with the bull**** 3k markup. We started below MSRP, just depending on the color...if you want a yellow one im sure you can get at least 2-3k below MSRP.
