Car Info: Hi, I'm John.
Alrightttt parts ordered.
Ordered: head gaskets, cam seals, cam cover seals, Exhaust mani, Intake mani, UP, and DP gaskets.
Need to pickup: oil + filter and coolant
My timing belt and all that jazz is only like 10-11k miles on it. I'm going to chance em'.
I ordered fuel pump cover gasket, ICV gasket, and BOV gasket because I think all three of those were already leaking.
Tear-down date : TBD. Will update when all parts come in.

Shoots

Car Info: Hi, I'm John.
bump. Changed out headgaskets. It runs (very roughly) and shoots out coolant. Engine is only compressing on 3 cylinders. It's toast. Look for my for sale ad in the near future.

did you resurface the heads when you changed the headgaskets?

No, but I inspected them and cleaned everything super good. They appear to be fine other than some scoring on the cam bearings. It could be a crack in the block or something that doesn't appear unless under pressure. This car isn't worth it to me anymore. I need something that works ASAP. I haven't decided to part out everything or try and sell it broken 'as-is' to anyone that wants to try and fix it. What do you guys think it's worth? Like I said, it runs, but only with compression on 3 cylinders.

I have a EJ257 SB, td06 20g, FMIC, 750cc injectors, UTEC, sways/endlinks, strut bars, TXS wideband, Cobb DP, GTspec UEL headers, Helix 264 cams and valve springs, and so on and so on.

I want to just get rid of this car and move on to something else that I can depend on. What do you guys think the car is worth 'as-is'? What can I get by parting it out?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

John

Nahhh, I'm done with modding. Time to move on. I need something that works and now. I'll let someone else try and fix it. Could be as easy as resurfacing heads, I dunno.
