Electrical question...
Ok, got a question for anyone who knows their electrical stuffs.
We have a kids swing that is about the ONLY way the kid will fall asleep. Something on the circuit board fried so I took it apart and cant repair it. What I want to do is wire the motor directly to the batteries, but when I do that of course it spins too quickly. Trying to remember what the name of the selectable part is that can regulate the current or whatever its really called. I think its a potentiometer or something, but curious if anyone knows. Just gonna solder it on and then I should be able to slow the motor down enough. Yeah Im being cheap, but I also like to take stuff apart and mess with it so its more of a challenge now than anything else.
Thanks.

A potentiometer is a variable resistor that can limit voltage going to the motor, so I guess it would work...
But isn't it worth the extra ca$h so junior doesn't get a big "shock" when something fizzles? I know I wouldn't trust myself!
