Ok, so are you saying that a wrx ecu would work with the ej22t harness in the impreza? or that the wrx ecu would work with my ej25 NA harness in the impreza?

Your best bet as far as Subaru Link tuning/support in the US would be Miles. I'm pretty sure he's been using Link hardware on his personal WRX since before people even had STi's in the US. He's done a lot of Link setups, and worked with the older versions of the Link ECU's like you and sigma are talking about. Call Miles and let him know what you have, and what you want to do. Fine Line Imports' # is 707-525-1536 ask for Miles.

ok, so i just got off the phone with Miles from Fine Line and it looks like im going to have to shut this build down. I would need to wire both the harnesses together and buy a link stand alone unit which would be about $3,000 or I could buy the link engine harness and ecu for $4,850... Either way i do not have the funds for this project, so sadly I have to discontinue it.
Thanks everyone for all the advice and help, I hope to see you all around some day!

Custom setups are never cheap. Ask me how I know lol. Any time you try to do something other than throw an STi motor in a WRX and throw in an STi ecu, it ends up costing a small fortune. Same with building a 'hybrid' like you're trying to do Kribz. I just hope you don't throw away the idea or the project. The EJ22T is such a killer motor to use in a build. Just do like me, and save up slowly for the project.

I wish i could just put the project on hold and save, but I dont have a job right now and im going back to school soon so i wont be able to have the funds for awhile and half my garage is taken by legacy parts. So I'm in a position where i need to sell everything.
Know anyone interested in any legacy parts or a 02 impreza wagon?

Yea, the WHOLE thing. This was supposed to be a budget build, but when things started to get more and more pricey i just had to pull the plug before i got in too deep.
