Drag-racing tonight?
I haven't been drag-racing in about 4 years I think, but I'm thinking of going tonight. Are there any people in the group here that normally go? Anything a newbie should know before I head out there?
The last time I went to the strip was with my bone stock '99 2.5GT, and it ran a 16.02 @ 83 or 84 sumthin. I've never run the '97, but the '99's time should be a good enough baseline to compare to. I'm interested to see what the car will run with an extra 35hp or so under the hood.

Don't forget long pants, closed toed shoes and you drivers license.
There is usually a few guys out there every Friday night. Oh and you can start racing at 7:00pm and it usually gets really crowded around 9.

I'll be out there... I won't be hot shoeing tonight, but I'll be there to watch and cheerlead.

Well, looks like I'm gonna go catch a flick tonight rather than go racing. Perhaps next week...
Oh, and thanks for the reminder about the long pants, 18hr, it's been long enough since I've gone to a dragstrip that I would never have remembered that.

Bad idea on catching a movie. The lines were CRAZY in Mililani. So my wife and I got a DVD at Blockbuster, and the SHE (WHAT???) Suggested we go for a drive. I think she's starting to like the car!
