I have a Tamiya TT-01, basically a starter model but I upgraded the motor to a Spitfire brushed motor(only 20 bucks and yes I know brushed vs brushless but the performance is nearly that of a 60$ brushless motor) Aluminum drive shaft, metal swing axles i forget which one but a yokomo differential.
Gotta buy me a new body though since my riced out honda odyssey is pretty thrashed. What bodies do you guys use? I really want a yokomo jzx100 but its super expensive.

I Also have a TT-01 as far as bodies go a lot of us run Tamiya Bodies ($40) because of the price compared the yokomo bodies, you can pick some up at Sandy Flemings in Pearl City. For the brushed vs Brush-less I say go with the brush-less because he majority has it because there's less maintenance involved and more power, but a brushed is good enough for now. At Aloha Hobbies Scott might have have them for around $140 for motor and ESC (Novak Havoc). Later down the line you might want to think about locking your rear diff and getting a front-one way. Hope this helps, since this is a Subaru forum if you want to ask really specific questions http://www.hyperdrift.com/forum/ is a very resourceful site and we can help you out

Yea, hopefully I am going to pick up a JZX body sometime soon(my sti body died finally) I just picked up a Novak brushless from my friend who is big into rc drift(400 dollar carbon chassis) I saw the hyper drift video and I was saddened by how much more organized it is over there compared to here on the big island. All we do is put cones on tennis courts lol.
