Does anybody else get migrains..

Does anybody else get migrains I got two today and now that it is going away my head is still killing me. What do you guys take for them I take Midrin which was perscribed by my Doc it worked the first few times but now it seems to only dull it a bit and before it would knock me out now it does nothing.

I take Relpax (sp?) for mine. I only recently switched and happy I did. It doesn't seem to make me sleepy like my other one (can't remember the name).

something interesting i found out.

doing some hardcore excersize/sports ... you know working up a good sweat, can help. i had a migrain once and managed to fight it off by taking some advil and sweating it off.

also laughter, kinda helped once, not sure why.

never got to try the serious migrain medicine, just used the standard off the shelf stuff.

i hate migrains with all my might. the throbbing pain is enough for me to blow my brains out, and i get a bad coldsweat.

sorry you gotta go through that man

I have DEBILITATING sinus headaches. Crawl under my bed to the corner of my room, shut off the lights, any sound hurts, just leave me alone for 2-4 hour kind of headaches.

Feel your pain, Bro! Mine are more seasonal and/or related to weather conditions... Summer is the worst. Yuck!

Good. I have a buddy who you remind me of who had 'migraines' so bad that they made him ball up and cry. Turns out that he had a benign cyst in his brain and had to have it removed.

Unfortunately, he still gets the headaches, although the doc's no longer call them migraine. They're called 'cluster' (multiple and simultaneous) headaches.

Man make sure you tell the doctor that. That sounds like a very serious sign. After my back got all messed up I get such severe migranies that I can't do anything. No medicine has every helped, and thanks to being a marine I never get let out of work for them.

if the headache was sore enough to consider smashing your head with a rock, then probably a migrain. blurred tunnel vision, vomiting is also pretty common.
