dings on the intercooler
looked under the hood today and found tiny ding and pea sized pebble on the intercooler. I guess the factory would have placed a screen over the intercooler if it would not affect air flow no? do you guys have solutions for this?

Screen
I was going to do a screen for my FMIC, but talked to Trey at Cobb Tuning, and he said don't bother. The screen would be right against the IC, and he assures that the APS are very durable.

Yeah,
Cobb is no longer with APS. I bought the Type R FMIC almost a year ago. I got deployed to Turkey for six months, so after I got back, I made some time to install it. The intercooler itself isn't that difficult. Figuring out how to take off the bumper skin and cutting all the plastic takes as long or longer. I did the install myself, and took my time as I only have one vehicle. I'd say with some help, it's any easy one-day project. Doing it myself, watching my kids/grandkids, it's easily two days.

This may help. I "found" this at work today. It's a radiator Fin-Comb. It's used to re-shape bent radiator fins. It has two ends on it, one is 12 fins per inch and the other is 14 fins per inch.
I'd try it out, but I don't have an intercooler laying around.
