Is it difficult finding used 02-03 WRX Wagons in HNL?

I am looiking for a 02-03 WRX wagon, but it seems there are many more sedans out there. The sedans out there seem to be priced to move also and I'm wondering if I might end up saving alot of money with a sedan because of supply and demand. So bottom line is are the wagons going for more money used?

Anyone know the productin numbers for percentage of sedans vs wagons?

idk, but i would try and stay away from bugeyed wrx's because those years have the weakest transmissions. their known as having a "glass tranny". i would look into the later years where the transmission is a bit stronger. i own a bugeye wagon and i stripped on of the gears, and it is very common. i know 4 of my friends that blew their tranny too. but if u arn't gonna test it's limits, i guess it wouldn't matter. hope u find what you're looking for.

i have an 03 wagon and my transmission is fine so far, i changed the tranny oil and that helped a lot. I never shift hard though, or launch the car.

Newer woulld be cool, but I am looking for the 02-03s just for the price. I guess if you go up to 05-06 then the Saab 9-2x Aero is an option. The Aero looks good, esp with the factory 17s. Not everyone knows its a reskined wrx, and it does not have that sports compact look with the low profile hood scoop etc.

I have an 02 WRX sedan putting down 324hp and 338tq to the wheels on the "glass tranny". Anyone can break a transmission with enough abuse and/or power. The "glass tranny" isn't a problem unless you insist on launching at high rpms or you have insane power.

Wagon luv

I was also looking for a wagon a few months back too. At the time, I could only find a bugeye wagon, but I was looking for a peanut eye wagon. Eventually I ended up picking up a STi. I still love wagons, but am very pleased with my STi.

Thanks for the links and info on the sedans, the sedan is my backup plan. I would have probably bought a sedan by now if the seats in the back folded down enough to fit through a surfboard in through to the trunk. The little slot thing sucks, what the heck is that good for? Any magic tricks I m unaware of to fit a short board into a sedan so that you could still fit like 3 people.
