Is there anyone computer savvy out there. My Toshiba external hard drive is not being recognized by my computer and wont allow me to access the information and sometimes gives me an error code stating incorrect parameter . Does anyone know how to recover the info or know somewhere on island that can recover the info. and I kinda need it done before tues if possible

 

What are the specs on your computer?

 

I have a friend who owns a small business that will do data recovery for you, not sure how much he charges. Tell him Jack sent ya if the data is there he can get it .

There's a free program called CGSecurity, they have file recovery options for music, photo etc, it's saved me a few times by pulling data from thumbdrives and memory cards, I imagine the process for an external is just a little longer

 

Is it a mechanical or software issue? Does the hard drive click? Have you tried pulling the HDD from the case and using another HDD reader?

 

I recommend you pour excessive hot water onto the hard drive the data will flush out.
