CV Boot
Anyone got one for sale? Car is an 05 sti. Need passenger outer boot. Tried napa, oreillys and car quest with no luck. I know servco might have it but need my car up ASAP to get to work tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

Super Easy, Takes prob <1 Hour if you have a second pair of hands and the right tools ready.
You just hit the roll pin out, un-shuck the axle nut, remove the strut bolts and pull on the hub and the axle should come out from the tranny and then remove the axle nut and push it out of the hub. Then just reverse that, its a bit harder to put the new one on, try lubing up the axle-to-tranny connection to help it slide in.
Then install new pin and shuck the new axle nut.

Depends on the route taken. If you just get a new axle then it's not so bad. If you do just the boot then it's a messy pita. But it is a pita that runs you like $20 versus like $150 ish. If you need help I can lend a hand. Just make sure you have that Axle nut socket. 32mm. Can't remember the standard size that works as well. Also it is recommended you replace the axle nuts everytime you remove them. I didn't but just sayin.

Thanks for the replies. Got lucky at carquest in Waipahu. Not exactly OEM but did the job. Took me about an hour to do it. Also found out that the bottom of my BC coilovers was rubbing on it so had to raise it a bit. If anyone needs help hit me up, this is the third time I had to do this in a month so I'm pretty good at it now LOL!

Boot was around 15 to 20. Can't remember exactly. Outer is cheaper than inner for some reason. Careful though cause Carquest had the inner and outer boot under the same part number. When you do get it from them, inner is smaller then outer obviously. I got the inner the first time I went thinking it was the outer and I didn't bother to look at it. Great service from the carquest guys in Waipahu though.
