I'm suppose to pick it up today...

Not sure if he is still working on it or not...as soon as it is done, I will...in the meantime though, I have pics I acquired from NASIOC of someone that sells it over there...RAMMAUDIO

This 10" ARC sub is set up perfectly under the passenger front seat...I

This is not my sub...but a $599 sub off of NASIOC...

AlumaPro does make an 8"...

Just went down to the install shop...He had an 8" and 10" out...big difference though...I hope the 10" fits...

He made a mold using my car...he is going to try and get enough volume for a 10", otherwise, it may be an 8" under the seat...

Right now, he says an 8" will fit for sure...and will sound very nice...but will lack the ooomph of the 10"...I'm holding out for the 10"...he will be working on it this week to see what he can do...

I'll let you guys know when it is done...

Brent

Do you know what the sealed volume is? This enclosure is like .4 ft^3 I think...he needs to add a bit of volume to make the 10" sound better.

Depends on the Thiele parameters of the sub. I would think that enclosur is a bit small for most 10" subs. Who knows? Nice looking box, but you couldn't use aftermarket seats.

doesnt the sub itself take away airspace? magnet, frame, etc? i think that spec would be stated with the owners manual of the sub your gonna use, is your box still big enough Brent?

^^^ true dat. when building a sealed box, you must account for the magnet, etc of the sub. so 'box volume'-'magnet'='sealed enclosure'. i guess this is where integrals actually come in handy...

(Height X Width X Depth) / 1728 = Volume in Cubic Feet

You need 0.5 for the Kaption Flat 10 for optimal SPL and 0.8 for optimal Musical.

All taken off of the PDF on the site...I am not that smart

If anything...I would go with a really really high quality 8 inch sub and worry more about the musicality and less about the oomph in something as cramped as under a seat.

The only other real place I could think of putting a sub is right between the footwells of the backseat passengers...right behind the armrest/storage thingie.

Perhaps you could use an 8" and add a passive radiator like they do on this product... http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ay5rEkr...=113KSCSW1#Tab

BTW I bet you could give yourself a bit more space by letting the box jut out another inch out the front underside of the seat...nobody really pulls their legs all the way in when they're sitting so maybe you could gain another .035 cubic feet

I agree,

It does take away from the effective volume of the box...I don't think he added the "wings" as shown in the Rammaudio design...I believe this adds the needed airspace...

Blake...I would go with the Kaption Audio but he doesn't carry that brand...I didn't even know about them until I saw them on Tuner Transformation...

Did you get a price on the Kaption? Looks pricey..

Maybe there's a reason you've only seen them on Tuner Transformation....

I'm trying to remember if they were used on Pimp My Ride too
