Talking Cusco M/C Brace

If you don't have a master cylinder brace, I have to say it's a very nice mod. The MRT is a paint to install, the Cusco is fairly simple. Even on the street I can feel a very noticeable difference in the firmness and feel of the brake pedal. The firewall where the m/c mounts really flexes without a brace. I wish I had installed this sooner, it's been sitting on a shelf for months.

Well

I did take some pics, but they're too large to post here. If anyone buys one of these, I can help you install it. There's only a few things you have to watch out for. This is an easy "in your driveway" install. I haven't even hit my brakes hard yet and I'm very happy with this mod.

Yeah,

I got mine from Imprezer, but painted mine red to match all my other stuff under the hood. If you have a tmic, you won't see much of the brace. If you have a fmic, you'll see it if you look from the passenger's side.

i'd have to agree w/ san. you can feel the difference when braking and it is an easy install. also you don't have need a lot of tools to install it.

All you need is a 10mm socket and open end wrench... I designed it so that you can reuse all the available stock holes while maximizing the pressure area and force distribution.

Just got mine in the mail today, will try to install it tomorrow. You know, the whole "easy driveway install" thing has a whole new meaning when it's in the upper 30s and there's snow on the ground. Might have to kick Mom's car out of the garage so I can work on mine.

You know, the whole point of digital imagery is that it can be manipulated with a computer. You are allowed to make the pictures smaller, you know.

Yeah

Pat, even when I made them smaller, they're still too big for this forum. They can only be 800 X 600 and I couldn't shrink them down enough. Check z1auto.com, there's a pretty good pic there that will give youa good idea of how it mounts.
