I'm looking for relatively inexpensive Christmas gifts for myself and this would kind of fit the bill. The new baby and delayed promo-pay are keeping things a little tighter than I would like this Christmas. However, tax time is looking to be SWEET!.

hey etchy. if i had a chance again, i would get a snap-on one just for the heck of it. about 100 bucks more but higher rating may be worth it. if you do go with makita, make sure you look for a coupon for free stuff or a rebate. i got a free flashlight that shares the batteries.
a cheaper alternative is a walmart special, ~$20 for a corded impact especially made for lug nuts stuff. as long as it spins, it should be worth the $$. b

Thanks for the tip, but I'm looking for portability... and I've bought discount parts before and will NOT do it again (please reference all applicable posts regarding the up-pipe debacle)
