You could only buy a 911 C2 for that money, and this thing would eat the C2 for breakfast.

Plus, as Autoblog said, that's with all the UK tax and such, my guess it'd be closer to 50K if it were brought to the states. And there's no 911 you could buy new for 50K.

for less money you could make a 500 crank horsepower all wheel drive CRX. It would probably weigh around 2100lbs.

This is something that I have acutually thought about. I did have a near perfect 89 model crx, a spare ej20 and trans for a little while.

Im not taking about a job like the hondabaru (switching the body). I would rebuild the firewall and make a chanel for the driveshaft. Fuel tank would have to go in the trunk...but that would just help with the wheel stands. lol
It really wouldnt be that difficult....if I had a shop and welding skills.

The welding skills are easily obtained, the shop...not so much.

So if anybody feels like doing this, I am so there to help as long as I can drive it. lol

So what makes a crx so gay? Other than the fact that it is slow and kinda gay.

I mean if it were fast and all wheel drive, it wouldnt suck.

I'm sure this will offend someone, but an ej20 wrx is just an ej20 wrx. weak gears, weak pistons, the wheel bearing go bad all the time. It really isnt that great of a car. America got dumped on with the early wrx's.

For $55,000 or whatever, the CS400 is still an impreza. for that much more than base price I would expect more.

I brought up an AWD subaru powered crx because I thought this was about bang for the buck.

a 410 chp crx will do the 1/4 right around 10 seconds flat.

How much power does a sti have to have to do that??
well over 700 chp.

Add awd and a only a couple hundred pounds to the crx and it will be hell on wheels.

would any of you guys make fun of the hill climb suzuki escudo?

yes it's ugly, but i know everybody wants one.

Slightly off topic, but I have to get this off my chest. Why is everyone so obsessed with price now days?? Whatever happened to just loving a car for what it is. Nothing makes me more angry than hearing a person say they hate a car because it's too expensive. You'll never be able to marry Jessica Alba, doesn't stop guys from liking her (eh, bad analogy I know, but you get it).

I actually turned jessica alba down...for a crx. lol

i dont hate any car for the price. I just hate that I cannot buy it.

Take the lexus LFA for example, I cant buy one, but I still like it. Sucks that I grew up in government housing with deadbeat parents and was homeless at 15 and have supported myself ever since.

But I am still fighting my way away from my dirty backwoods south carolina up-bringing.

I'm 27, Hold an executive position, have 3 wrx's, a volvo v40, R6, all paid for and i live quite comfortably.

So maybe in about 10 years....I could buy a LFA.

Nowadays people think WHP evaluate in $. Of course with less than 10K I will do better than 400PS myself.

Everytimes I hear my neighboor starting up his Gallardo, I keep telling myself my Evo will go faster than that... so why getting a Gallardo?! pointless

Common... lol

Power is not always = $, I'm sure that car will be well balance for street/track/look/luxury

I do agree as well it is a bit expensive power wise but that car is pretty much well loaded ( BBK, suspension .... ) with warranty on it and you will have full customer service from CS.

Also remember a lot of people don't know how to mod and prefer to buy that.
