hey.....exact same thing that happened to my friend at the signal auto event.....2 out of the 4 studs broke off his blue 240.....he couldn't finish the event.....that sucks.....but he was doing really good that night.....he was on his game until that happened.....

I broke one and stripped another on the same hub. Really soft and gooey those studs. They aren't very easy to find either. I think I should order some just in case. That way, one will break by the time they show up.

Do you guys need to use a torch? Can it be done on the car without a press? Sweet!
Changing wheel studs on my Mustang was a *****. You had to remove the axles from the rear end, use a press (luckily I have a 10-tonner that I have direct access to) - press of the ABS reluctor wheels and go to town on each of the 5 lugs. What a bother.
Glad to hear it's easier on the Suby.

Ok. Right now, I've got all of the front lugnuts off of it, except for one on the driver's side. I was going to take my Explorer down to Beretania to p/u some more because I've got a part for the tranny waiting for me down there.
If you've got some on hand, I might give you a tele ring a ring, because I don't know how late I'll get off of work, and I know that the parts department closes pretty early.
