Wink "clunking" noise from STi strut possible fix...

As the title said, I had this problem before and now it is gone for 3 days counting...

Found a possible fix on Nasioc:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ghlight=clunck

Basically, lift up your car, the plastic cover on the strut will allow you to spray some silicon or grease on the shaft/ piston, then let it sit for 10 min around (while the rim still in the air). Later, test drive your car to check for the noise. It works for me so far... hope it does not come back

Check your sway bar too...
Could cause noise when you go up and down a bump...

to get rid of the clunking you should swap it out with a strut and spring from a well used 04 wrx that makes no such noise.

i'll be a good friend and take one for the team... i'll take your noisy set up
