Don't go to the dealership.

Do tighten your gas cap.

Do remove the negative wire from your battery terminal

Do pump the brake pedal for about 30 seconds

Do put the negative terminal back on

Do restart the car

Do watch your CEL go away.

Do remember to ALWAYS tighten your gas cap until it clicks.

Don't bother putting the snorkus back on unless you want to be cool like me

And shipping beer to Minnesota might cost a bit too much. Just glad to help out.

If it does come back on after the battery reset I (and a few others) have an ODBII reader and can pull the code for you.
Sounds like the gas cap though if it was right after you left the gas station. I've had a few people at work run across that.

Id like to hook up with you Tim and figure out mine, just to see. Probably need to do the HKS CEl fix or whatever. I think I can just buy one for $15 or so from Gruppe-S, but am not sure about it. Thanks.

the part of the intake air path that is in the passenger side fender. I think it is technically known as an intake silencer. If you remve it you can hear the turbo better. Other than that there isn't much to be gained. Some claim an increase in power, or faster spool, but I got my best track times with it installed.

my $0.02

and with the intake silencer gone you can hear the recirculation valve go psh..

i took the silencer off a few weeks ago, and the CEL came on like 2 days ago.

Then i put it on when it first came on, took it back off this morning, and it came on this evening coming home.
