Carbon Fiber Hood Repair?

anyone knows how much and where I coulc get my CF hood sanded and re-cleared coated?

you could get the (carbon fiber)cloth and resin.. and do it yourself. the tricky part is matching the pattern(weave) those are the same issues a shop will face. i'm not sure if paying a shop is cost effective- what kind of repairs you talking about? and your hood- is it painted or not?

i've never played around with carbon fiber- but i'ved helped my brother with his fiberglass panels and speaker enclosures- same concept and process- just different material-

*crap* i just re-read your post in this case it might be easier to do it yourself-
if not try car tunes in kailua - they have quite a bit of experience in custome fabrications like this.

Hey I need to know about this as well.

My CF hood has lots of murkiness to it and needs a good machine buffing/polishing and maybe a booby rub.

yea... im very curious as to why alotta cf hoods i see on the streets are always hazed or scratched looking... cant it be polished out with a buffer and rubbing compound???

check out JL autobody in sand island, they do good work, and he seems to know a very good way to repair it
