car washing
Things that annoy the crap out of me when washing the car-
-getting the wing clean & dry
-cutting my finger when trying to dry the gas tank cap area and gas door
-whacking my head on the side view mirrors after washing or drying the front part of the side skirts
-after thinking I have completely dried the whole car, having water drip from the side view mirrors
-lifting the trunk and having water drip onto the newly polished surface
-lifting the hood and having water drip on the newly polished surface
-taking the time to take off all the tires and thoroughly clean the rim, tire, inside fenderwell and make it all chinee. THEN driving the car out to go to work and have loose dirt on the road that you run over because you didnt see it!
-And then by some ACT OF GOD, having it rain just enough to leave water spots on the car when it gets MIRACULOUSLY sunny again!
Other than that though, the first 2 seconds of having a clean car is cool Until it gets dirty again. I got a black car....

I'll never own another black car again. My blown '94 Mustang made me NEUROTIC. I still think my hairline receded from worrying about that black beauty constantly. I washed it EVERY DAY and waxed it EVERY WEEKEND. It was insane!

My car gets washed and waxed every weekend.
I when bought my WRX, the only color I wanted was black. I knew that buying a black car, I would constantly be trying to keep it clean.
Black is probably the hardest to keep clean, but IMHO it looks the best when it is clean (for all of 15 min).

silver is the safest color. . .although i have white and blue . . .
white suxs almost as bad as black in terms of dirt. blue is alright.

thanks Rudy. lol. Dude, what is your low beam bulb? the number stuff. Ie. HB3, 9006....it should say on your headlight housing on the glass part at the bottom. Takes me 3 and a half hours to clean my car. I detail it every 3 days. So, if you ever talk to me and I seem kind of slow, you'll know why

Mines black too. I kind of gave up. I spray it off 1 time per week. Just to get the big stuff off. I clean it nice about every 4 weeks. 10 mins later its dusty. The java looks great when it's clean. It looks really bad when it's dirty. Oh well! I should have gotten silver.
