Insurance Rates...shouldn't change...

I was concerned about my insurance rates going up also, but according to several that I spoke with at Geico as well as the adjuster, your insurance rates should not go up for "No Fault" insurance claims. Meaning, if it was not your fault and you were not cited, you insurance should remain the same or go up at the regular interval...

I was going to try and work it out with the guy, but the insurance company advised against this as they have seen problems and incomplete transactions occur between the two parties...

Good luck...

Even if the other guy doesn't have insurance? Well, I hope that's how it'll work. Still he has to pay the ****ty deductible.

One reason I did not want to go through insurance is because my car is modified. I'm not sure I want them to know that.

I know what you mean. Bottom line is that *** hat shouldn't have been driving, period. It's just unfortunate that you have to suffer because of his irresponsibility.
