i'm doing a report on the marketing strategy of subaru...i was hoping you guys can add some stuff....so far what i've found so far from research

subaru is definitly becoming more competitive in the sports car market performance wise

are targeting the younger generation (20-33)

included Lance Armstrong to promote it's sales now

used the WRC to promote its performance vehicles

cost to performance ratio is great

market its legendary AWD (why is it lengendary?)

did i miss anything??

i know there are a lot more to it...please feel free to add anything...thoughts and opinions on what subaru hopes to achieve in the next few years...thanx much guys

so what class is this for? u still at kapiolani? me..im gonna be at UH and K next semester. don't know much about the subaru marketing strategy, hence you could probably email customer service for subaru and ask them personally, but will try to help you out if i can.

You could add some local research into the phenomenon of more Subarus than anyone else at SCCA/Drag races(maybe not... lots of Camaros, Mustangs, and Civics)/Track day than any other manufacturer. This is all from a low-density or niche-market retailer. I find it amazing.

 

If you REALLY want to blow your instructors socks off, do some real research. Call Schuman and Five star. Explain to them about your paper. Tell them you're a Subaru driver. Ask them for their sales volume of all impreza styles here in Hawaii.

Call Tony Group. Explain to them about your paper. Ask them their sales volume of Golf their Sport Compact car (1.8t's, Nissan Sentra's, Civic's).

Call Cutter, JN, McKenna, etc. and get the volume of their SCC's.

Go to the track and count cars at the drag races. Check the numbers from the last SCCA (I have them) and ask Farid for some guesstimates from the track day and do a full comparison of Sales volume vs Motorsports participation. You have a paper with a focused subject that you are familiar and comfortable with, and plenty of unique data. Perfect research paper, if I do say so myself. And I do.

one thing to add is how every model in subaru's line up has a stock turbo in addition to the AWD (well in japan they all are i think)
