Question can anyone asst. me w/ some wiring

hello all does anyone have any experince w/ wiring an aftermarket head unit that could possibly walk me through this. i took the unit from my integra and when i looked at the harness to the car wiring all the colors pretty much matched up so is it that easy to just match colors or is there more to it than that. thanks guys

Just buy a subaru specific harness...93' n up will fit just fine. Why cut into your stock wiring ? The harness will run you about 15 well spent dollars.

Ummm, any stereo shop should have it. Just tell them exactly what you have and what you want to do with your head-unit.

If you go to Circuit Citry, you can get two harnesses. One specifically for your radio, and one specifically for your car. Completely plug and play. Should run you ~$30.

Yeah did that in my Talon, just told em the car and radio like Greg said and then no cutting wires and when I sold the car I was able to throw the stock junk unit back in it... I did mail order, but Im sure with all the install shops here you can find it.

mario,

I did my head unit, CD changer, speakers, amps, 5 farad cap, cut holes in the rear doors, modified the panels, the whole nine yards. Let me know if you need a hand.

same here i did a stereo change out in my car myself. just ask for some help and i can help out. if you want to cut the wires one of the two mod sites has the pin outs for the car. that is what i used to help reference when i cut the wires for my deck saving me some time. but i think one of the wires on that site was wrong since i was double checking it as i went along.
