I lied! haha prob 320 max
i put CAI since i was going to get pro tuned with stage 2.
It also makes the recirc valve more audible, yup I said it.

nothing wrong with CAI if you have other mods and get tuned for it. my forester had a CAI and it did ok after the tune. you should be more worried about other people deciding what you put on YOUR car. do some searching, maybe ask some people at the meats, but don't turn the forums into your personal place for "help me pick out what color purse to buy". as for SERVCO, just like any dealership... if you mod it, they will void. if you're worried about it at all then you know somewhere deep down it's not a good idea.

yeah what's wrong with a CAI I have one. ok ok i get it if you live Hawaii potential problem. I have had a CAI on in Hawaii and never sucked up any water. Leave the splash guard on and you will have no problems. Drive thru a flooded area (water above your front lip) then its your dumb *** fault.

1. Issue: water log
Solution: splash guard, don't drive in flooded areas
2. Issue: CAI's lean out your AFR's because you threw off the calibration of MAF because the diameter of the CAI piping is slightly larger or it positions the MAF lower or higher in the pipe.
Solution: tune
3. Issue: no sense in having a cold air intake cause the turbo will just heat up that air before it enters the intercooler, therefore negating the job of a CAI.
Solution: prove it. to date I have never seen conclusive data that shows you will have higher or lower air temps prior to the air hitting the intercooler after it passes through the cold side of the turbo. And if someone has data please share, hear say is not good enough.
Finally its your money spend it how you please.

I'm making 330whp on my WRX with stock intake and inlet with K&N filter. Im hoping for 360-400whp on Feb 11 so with that said I'm running a Perrin inlet and APS 70mm cai.
I think low 300whp is the rating for stock box.

Hey Jess, last week we had some heavy rains here in hawaii. I had 2 cars towed into the shop that both of them sucked up water thru their CAI and hydro-locked the motors. Drive through huge puddles....CAI....No bueno.

With that being said if there is a huge puddle or flooding and you choose to drive your car thru it than you deserve the outcome.

Yup, lowered Honda Prelude + AEM CAI + Flash floods = customer is looking for a new car. Granted, like you said, they may not tell me the real deal too. But at the same time, I'm pretty sure he knew he that CAI on there and now has to deal with the aftermath.
