Broke another axle in the RS
Broke another axle in the RS. Grabbed 2nd gear a little too hard I guess.
Holy ***** is this car fast!! If I'm in first and punch it, it won't turn. The wheel turns but the car goes straight. The front end is so light that it actually pushes the front tires straight. Pretty freakin' nutz.
Need to invest in stronger axles.
Turns out the sheared axle wasn't the only point of failure. The end that bolts into the hub practically shattered. There are spiral cracks in it all over. Check 'em out.
Unfortunately, this also means that my bearing failed. So I had to take the rear hub off the car in 32 degree weather.

I just got my Driveshaftshop.com level 5 (900HP) axle today. They cost 516 each.

That's some damn impressive power to shatter the end of the axle like that. Crazy.

I had a friend back in SC do that in his blown mustang.. His wheels basically went in their own direction. And this was in the 1/4 mile.
that is some serious poundage to get results like that! Maybe you should order some extras!
