Come out to the meets and check out the different sounds...
yeah so, i missed a shift and overtached (not even into red), and afterthat it stuck open, i closed it manually, and then it wouldnt work. so to save my engine, i put the stock back on. much better.....no more BOVs for me....

^the smiley face at the end of his post prolly means that he was just ****in with the guy so he's not slammin him just being funny. teachin is explaining to people why they should or should not do some things and thats what this thread accomplished. and i wasnt trying to be a search **** in the beginning,...just pointing out that the forum had the search function. personally my car ran ****ty with the bov. much better with the stock recirc. i am running stage "2.5" and still have the stock recirc valve so i wouldnt recommend anybody spend 200-300 dollars on anything that doesnt have a positive effect. but if you like the sound a lot like i did at first just listen to some of the guys at the meats and ask around.

oh i know the sound is sweet, but ur right about the money, why spend all that money on just sound when ur stock? not a mistake ill make again. i just installed axle back TurboXS and RSR shortshift tonite, gonna get an Invidia DP and custom MP done tomorrow. then flash the ecu with the Cobb port access and im good baby! no more wasted money for me, i dont have it.....but yeah, teachin is better than flamin especially for noobs, they/i dont know better. save the flamin for people who should know better. im drunk. sorry for ramblin.

we shouldn't really flame on people/noobs, because it doesn't make them feel welcome...

This actually has been a pretty informative thread cause for me, this is my first turbo car and the first thing I did was run out and get a HKS SSQ. Im starting to rethink it now tho cause I have been driving it for almost a year now and it doesnt feel as powerful as it did with just the stock BOV on. I have a PDE downpipe and a TXS uppipe, but the exhaust I have is modified from my old exhaust system from the 2.5L motor so I'm sure that it being 2.25" from the midpipe back is killing my performance too. So what Im trying to get at is the same thing that most of all the other guys have said... "its a waste of money for us near stock guys, but do it to get it out of your system." Thats just my $.02, but Im still learning too
