for some reason i just cant picture a low civic hoping over a center divider , going through the grass and digging out.

especially without others from the accident (and there were others -- right?) seeing his plate #.

he probably scraped his bumpers and maybe his exhaust too, but if its the center divider that i'm thinking of around that area, it is possible

No, I didn't mention anyone else involved besides me and that red civic. People brake all around me, but only me and the red civic hit. Also, I didn't mention it was dropped. It was stock hight. The grass he drove across was not on a elevated median, it was the same level as the street I pulled into the grass to wait for the cops and I'm slammed.

From the time I hit him from the time he dug out, was around 10-15 secs. I'm only assuming that he had no insurance or safety, judging by the rate he took off and didn't want to stick around...for all I know the car could have been stolen. I didn't catch a license because it happened so quick. But it was just the two of us. the divider separating both directions of traffic was a elevated grass median about 6 inches high and 5 feet wide. That was on my driver side. the tony group is on my passenger side. The grass he cut across was the right side of me, he took off across that which was the same hight as the road, not elevated and got on the on ramp and headed town bound (South).

He also might have had outstanding traffic tickets or maybe even a bench warrant and thats why he fled the scene

Not, yet....It's seems that a bumber support bracket was broken, and that part wasn't available in hawaii so it being sent overnight. BUt, because there closed on Saturday and Sunday, my car should be ready by Monday or Tuesday. I went down there yesterday to see my baby. It was getting ready to be sent into the paint booth new fender was on, supports were fixed and strait, bumper was primered and ready to be sprayed, new headlight standing by. So far so good, I just want my baby back, lol.

I know how you feel, Dave. My car's been at the body shop for a week and a half now too and it just seems like forever. They said I'll be getting my car back on Tuesday or Wednesday too.
