blitz front mount installation

hi, i wanted to get some ideas about what kinda tools any of you front mount intercooler guys used to cut your bumper beam? and also, does anyone have pictures of their cut bumper beam so i can have an idea on where to cut. thanks

All you need is a die grinder with a cutting wheel. But if your lucky to be blessed with an acetelyn(sp?) torch or plasma cutter, that would do wonders. Although my friend with a 1st gen eclipse used a circular saw with a metal cutting blade and it worked out fine.


Other then that, simple hand tools will take care of the rest.

okay thanks, now my new problem is knowing where to cut the bumper beam, if anyone has a pictures of the cut bumper beam for the blitz kit, i appreciate it!

I have a blitz FMIC in my car. I don't have a digital camera, but I'll see if I can borrow one and get some pics for you. Or give me a heads up if you are going to the track or something.

I tired searching with no success, but I did come across 2 vendors who had the Japanese instructions. Of course you cant read them, but they said it had very detailed pictures.

Quantum-Racing, and MPJ Performance had them. Try sending them emails about it. Either they will email it or fax it, to you.
