Black WRX w/ Cobb Tuning ECU reflash...

Anybody know him? I think his name was Ted (?). He came over to me at HRP on Friday night and showed me a 14.0/94mph timeslip. His WRX is completely stock except for a Cobb Tuning ECU reflash! He said his previous best was 14.5 without the reflash. $400 for .5 seconds... Anyone else running this?

I think $400 is a good deal for .5. If there was another simple bolt-on I could do for that price, I'd do it.

I guess you're right...I'm so used to not spending $$$ on go fast parts because they cost more than $400 to make my RS go faster.

He showed me both timeslips, before & after the reflash...I assumed the "before" slip was from HRP. Hmmm... On the 14.0 run he had a 1.8 60 ft. I dunno...

what do stock WRX's run in hawaii? or what was the fastest a stock WRX's that you seen run in hawaii?

-Snuff

p.s. FWIW the fastest i seen any stock RSX run was mid 15's, when folks on the mainland claim it runs high 14's

1.8 60ft's are very possible with that I think (given he can launch well).

and with a cobb stage 1 AccessECU, he's probably making more power than I was with my mbc, intake, and exhaust, ... And I ran a best of 13.6 with a 1.7 60'.

Actually, now that I think about it, .... I think my 13.6 time was with a 60ft time under 1.7!!

The next best time I had was a few 13.7's with 1.7 60' times.

..... and needless to say, .... my clutch did not last near as long as you guys' have!!

I'll try to find my timeslips again so I can see exactly what I ran.
