I am going to have to disagree with everyone else in this thread. A good beer is hard to find in Hawaii. I say this because I come from a small town <6000 people and it has 5 micro-breweries just on the main street. Here in Hawaii the closest thing you can get to that is Gordon Beirsch or Brew Moon, neither of which compare. As for bottled beer you only find the basics you would anywhere else. Smaller breweries and more "exotic" imports are hard or impossible to find even at the few liqueur stores that dot the island. Last but not least if you are into brewing your own beer, brew supply stores are few and far between.

I hopr the O.P. don't mind, but currently in the frigergator i'm drinking some italian birra moretti, belgian duvel, and some trappist. I know you guys hate pilsners, but i can't help myself. Share whatever you'all are pouring down.......

There are tons of breweries in hawaii.
Mehana Brewery in Hilo
Kona Brewing Co in Kona
^ Big Island for those two
Maui Brewing in maui obviously
Im sure there are others also but those are the main 3 that I like. I am currently in vacation in Hawaii and I have had absolutely no trouble finding real, good, local beers.
