Which battery is better?
DieHard Automotive Battery, Platinum P-5 or a Optima redtop? I have been reading that optima's tend to die a lot if you don't use your car often. Haven't heard much from the diehard battery but i like the 4 year replacement policy..what do you guys think?

DieHard,..
I went thru like 3 Optima Red Tops due to them draining out for some reason,..
they are really lightweight, but they are not made like there were in the past....Bought by diff Company so different standards....Heard their Yellow tops are still good.
Diehards are really heavy, but never had a problem since...

braile seems like a good choise but i was wondering if it was a good overall type of battery. The only extra electronics I have is a dvd/navi system, four mids, one 12 inch sub and one amp. If i got a braille battery would it be okay for this?

Go with a deep cycle battery, meaning an optima YELLOW TOP battery, also other companies are making deep cycle batteries, I have a non-optima deep cycle, and it works just as well as the optima's I have had in the past.
I need a deep cycle cause I have three amps 2500 watts, three subs, two sets of component speakers, in car lighting, and a capacitor. So if you want to run that kind of power through your sound system for more than five minutes without killing your battery you NEED a deep cycle. IMO

I have run an Odyssey PC680 for 3 Reno Winters without issue. It's a 15.4Lb and used to cost around $120 shipped with the SAE posts but I hear prices have risen unfortunately. I also run a JL 300/4 amp with one 10" sub. No lights dimming, etc.
