Bad motor?

So I go to start my 2013 STI this morning to give her a bath, and the thing starts up really weird. Crank ignition and she tries to turn over but all you hear is like 1 out 4 cylinders firing and the intercooler sucking in air loudly the car sounds super weak like its about to die, So shut her down freak out a bit since it only has 2100 miles on the odometer. Crank her up again and it repeats and sounds like an engine on its last bit of life, now I am getting worried. Try again and she does not turn over its cranks and cranks, attempt 3-4 more times but unwillingly will not turn over. Try a 6th time right when I am about to start recording to give to dealership she starts up just fine. I am going to have the dealer check the motor for compression and oil sample sent out, anything else I should have them check? also I do not drive the car hard just 30 miles back and fourth from work and home.

Car Info: my wife crazy with buying parts
Just off top of my head back in the day there was a throttle body hose problem on the 08+ cars. Engine probably noticed it was getting air it wasn't metering at MAF and went limp. Check around throttle body for loose hose/couplers. Disconnect battery. Step on brakes a few times. Reconnect battery and try again.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong as I have no hands on with newer subies and am going off stuff I read

We're to tinkering around with anything prior to trying to start the car (I.e electrical wires/harnesses)?

I think the ticking is normal, Maybe my mind playing tricks on me. I have taken the car to subaru and they couldn't replicate the issue the first time, It does not happen every day. But there are days when the vehicle starts and it feels like a very weak start like its going to die, and then there are days when the vehicle starts up super strong. Could this be a bad alternator, spark plugs?

If you haven't messed with the car, just take it in man. You should have 0 problems and if they give you hell about it, hit up SOA.

Yea thats what I have been told, that hawaii is excluded from SOA, But I will take it in to see whats up, I have not messed with the engine. Just aside from a Short shifter install.

my 2010 ticks just like that, but not that loud. happens every cold start and disappears after about a minute or two of warm up. NEVER comes on other than cold start. also never had issues with it feeling like its about to die.
