AutoMeter gauge vendor?

AutoMeter gauge vendor?
Anyone know good source? Want to compare and then see what SpeedGear will charge me. This is what I am looking at since I cant get any other gauges in PSI and the damn Defis arent available in US units, dammit.
> AutoMeter 3-gauge Pillar Pod #22593
> AutoMeter Electric C2 Boost Gauge #7160
> AutoMeter Electric C2 Pyrometer Gauge #7144
> AutoMeter Electric C2 Oil Pressure Gauge #7153
Anyone looking for the 3 gauge 60mm pod that goes where the clock goes? I ordered up one from Extreme Motorsports the Defi 3-gauge pod and I wanted a pillar pod. Lemme know if anyone is interested otherwise I will send it back. Paid $150.
http://www.autometer.com/hp/
CLick the top right gauge and its the first page. They are electric and only 52mm, which is fine. I really liked the Defi, but they tell me it takes several months to get the US units ones, grr...
The Cobalt series on the second page are nice too, blue with black gauge face. I just think the black numbers on white is easier to read.
Thanks as usual for any information and vendors guys.

dave,
check also with ron's performance parts. i was there today looking at the gauges.
i did see white face egt gauges and the guy i talked to said they carried two probe kits. one was $65 and the other around $100 or so.
they have all the autometer gauges.

You might want to do a search,
here and on NASIOC, most threads about the Autometer gauges complain that they are "slow" and not as accurate as others. Just a thought.

I had Autometer gauges in fact the very same type as REXSTANG. Boost, EGT, and A/F for me. They served their purpose for the most part. I ended up getting Greddy 60mm gauges as they are easier to read, look more OEM, and I just love the Defi pod.
Comparing boost gauges, they are the same. Both react the same and both linear. But it's the EGT that is a whole new ballgame. The Greddy reacts so much quicker then my autometer ever did. But I think that has to do with the probe type. I've read that a westach(sp?) probe is a better match then autometer's own probe.
For most things I dont think you can't go wrong with Autometer. I mean c'mon NASCAR, NHRA, and more use it.

try contacting www.takakaira.com for the Defi gauges in standard units. They're not listed on the site, but they may be able to get them sooner.
Did you contact the vendor in "new york" who supposedly has these?
... you would think any of the vendors on the defi vendor's page can get whatever gauges you want.

I will check into the Greddy's then since I already have the damn Defi 60mm pod. I guess I might as well just use it huh...
