JVB. yeah, i am not the happiest about my mini times not being valid, but oh well. damn. i even worked 2 heats....
most definitely. tires and rims will be on the sti next month. just hope it slides good still.
i do believe that for a standard WRX, power upping is beneficial. after driving the sti, i think just half the power difference would have made the wagon fun.
russ. i think i know why you rip with your stock height WRX. the car turns when it is not lowered. that is the feeling i lost when my wagon got lowered, even with the rear sway on stiff. which is why i liked the runs made with the old SPT suspension setup. your power must be perfect for the course and not overkill, just like JVB's. very well thought out setup. let the body roll help the car turn. i felt that again with the stock STi.
just ideas. b

and that's what I was telling Larry
@ the distance between the CG and the roll center
if the lever distance between the two is too short, the suspension doesn't transfer weight as much and the chassis doesn't become loaded for the corner
if the lever distance is too long, the suspension transfers too much weight and becomes hard to control due to too much motion and alignment change
you need just in the middle for it to work well
but yes it does look better down low
Barry, I sure wouldn't mind the power if I could have it!
It just looks underpowered but if you hold your brakes your car could be the same way. (that's the hint)
If you get tires then you'll be the fastest Subaru out there.
Wanna make a team, I already have the tires.
My setup is not very well thought out.
Just whatever I could find at shops the week of the races.
My car really is a patchwork quilt

JVB. yeah, hope the tires don't mess up the feel next month.
mach5WRX. yep. if you want to see how it would've done, see this Unofficial results page where he took my sti out and put the mini time in.
http://www.bubble-bliss.com/monthly2.pdf ***DIFFERENT from the Official one***
he said that the second car's time is not applicable.
i was kinda sad. i think i'll put dead roses or something instead of happy flowers. haha. b
