Night shot = 800 or rarely 1600 if the lens cannot manage the speed of light
I rarely take night shots because my lens aperture max is 3.5 so I have to compensate with the ISO, but it makes usually the pix grainy or "noisy."
Just wish to get a telephoto lens with F2.8 asap! but I am leaning toward macro subjects more and more.. so proly a fix 90mm or 105mm with F2.8 and VR.
Daylight cloudy = 400 or play with WB
Daylight no clouds = 200
All in all, it depends on the mode I use, usually Aperture or Shutter speed.
