$1375. Considering that it bolts on and has a wastgate (I don't recall internal or external). Those are two things I didn't want to mess with; modifying the downpipe or buying a turbo-to-uppipe flange and buying a wg.

Downside is that it is only oil cooled/lubricated. There's no water-cooling ability.

Fine by me.

Hey, does anyone have any information on wastegates. Owning a WRX and even upgrading to a VF sort've spoils you in that you never really have to worry about the wg until it fails to work...I don't really know much about them.

Also, if one were to get a bigger turbo like this green, I won't be able to use my intake any longer, will I? Also, will I have to spend all that cash on a turbo inlet hose like this one?

Another thing. I'm waiting on the head gaskets. What are some thoughts on head studs? Can I just reuse my old ones?

On the Samco inlet hose-- I don't think that hose will be big enough but i could be wrong. i say this because i looked at my stok turbo and the inlet is about 2" wide. so i don't think the samco would be any better. I say eliminate the inlet hose slap a filter right were that baby sucks in air and every once in while while the car is running watch the turbo spool. But see i'm easily amused.

On the head studs i would order some new ones. i believe head studs are like gaskets when ever they are removed they should be replaced. Get some ARP head studs Mmmm
