Well just another reason so your first impulse is not to get angry when someone doesn't wave/shaka back to you:
The person may not have seen you or they may have seen you but did not recognize your wave/shaka fast enough to return the respect. The person may have also wanted to greet you back but they couldn't because by the time they realized what you were doing, the person may have gotten ahead or behind the fellow subi.
I just think about some of the many reasons of why they didn't wave, but I think there is no excuse for not greeting back if the situation allows.

You can rationalize it any way that you want. I'm not new to the game nor am I new to excuses either. If it is made obvious that one person is waving or greeting another person why mean mug or even ignore it. There isn't anyone that owns a Subaru on this forum that doesn't notice another one in the general vicinity. If they are old and you pass by them you definitely would wave regardless of the reaction. It is the excuses and bull **** that prompted this post by another senior member. It is that reason that most senior members have to mention things like this.

But hey when some kid can get a wrx for a few grand, what do u expect the community to turn into. On a side note, being in stealth mode I see a lot of subies driving pretty chill so props for not making the evening news guys.
