Would you buy a used NSX if the price were right? I think that that would be nice as well.

I love the s2k, but you really feel the lack of power going up hills from a stop. I mean sure it has decent power once you start getting on it, but i dont always like to drive revving my engine 7-8k. With the STi its so effortless to get the car moving...and the folks driving around me wont think im some kinda racing punk revving my engine.
If you plan on getting an s2k, its best to have as a second car. you can pretty much forget about putting anything of decent size in that car. going shopping at costco with it can turn out to be a game of tetris everytime...trying to see how you can fit each piece in your trunk. but a lot of folks do it. just gotta watch what you buy.
The s2k feels great to drive...for some reason it just feels way more percise then the STi. the s2k has a great turn in and it fits you like a glove (well im short so i fit well in it)...i guess its the closest thing to a bike on 4 wheels (maybe the lotus elise is, but i never drove one) some folks dont like that tight compartment and snug feel. i know everyone *****es about this...the cupholders in the worst place...i dont know what the hell they were thinking putting it there. the only thing you can fit in there is those stubby water bottles.
one really bad thing most folks dont tell you about is resale value. both the STi and S2k seem to have really poor resale value in hawaii. im not sure which one seems to have the shorter end of the stick on this one...but both cars really dont fly off the used car lot unless its really cheap. So buy um used and save yourself some $$$.
Ive had both of them closing on 2 years now and if i had to choose which car i would keep for the long run and which i would sell. i think i would keep the s2k and sell the STi, just on personal preference. i figure the s2k would be much more reliable and cheaper to maintain...also there are a lot less of them on the road and no one can really use thier parts.
driving the s2k in the rain isnt always the smartest thing to do as well. if you tend to drive on the more spritied side becareful, it wont be as sure footed as an AWD car.
the comment about the trading the in STi for a S2k is like trading a G35 for a civic is just silly. i love the g35 but i just think thats the honda civic for the middle class, everyones got one now. so that little analogy was kinda funny. but they say if everyones buying um something must be good about them or no one would buy them.

I'm a little cornfused on one thing, though. I wasn't assuming, but did figure that you were working out a deal with a dealership in the NW. You're buying the Honda in Hawaii? What about the whole rigamarole of shipping 2 cars? What happened to the 'Stang?

Dan, I have no regrets. Ditto on what the other S2k owners said. The car is fun as hell to drive, might not have the power of a lot of cars, but the feel of the car makes up for it in spades.
