ATTN: cold air intake owners

Make sure you check every now and again that your filter is still on!

Here's the deal....

A guy from work thought he was cool and wanted to show me his cold air intake that he had installed on his dodge ram truck a while back.

So I'm looking at it and say " Wow where is the filter?"

Dude goes..."WHAT!!!!"

Turns out that his K&N cone filter attached to the intake pipe had fallen off at an unknown date and time. The guy has been driving around with no filter for who knows how long.

I asked him if the truck had been acting up or if he had a CEL and he said NO.

Check your filters.

most of the time that just means that they installed it wrong or didn't/forgot to tighten the connection between the two pipes or the filter to the CAI pipe.

I check weekly because I have found it off a couple of days after I put it on.
