Actually Hugh, the AVCR and the SBC-id are the two top WRX controllers. It's your preference. I had an AVCR, I think nolimit is basing his opinion on Jayson's car. Both are great controllers, however the Blitz is "supposed" to control boost better. This is due to it having dual selenoids. However, I felt that my old AVCR did just fine on the WRX wastegate. It beat using a Greddy Profec A, and an MBC.
Since you are running an RS-T, I would ask around with other turbo'd guys first before diving in. You can't beat tried and true
If your ever going to go to a LINK... The LINK does have an aux boost module that is much better then the AVCR or Blitz can ever be.

I need a boost controller too.
I need something to reduce my lag. My turbo is Laaaaaaaggggy (3500+RPM)
You can hear the wastegate opening at around 3000rpm (1st gear- a little lower in higher gears) which is perfectly normal, but not desirable.

the e-01 goes for about $516 on gruppe-s,
Farid has them in stock though at SpeedGear.
If you want just a temporary bc, ... the turboXS manual boost controlers are about 70-80 and work good. I always had good results with it. Or you could get a Joe-p for even less $.
