Why does that person think so lightly of auto-x? Especially since he/she has never tried it. I once thought driving through cones might not be as exciting as I'd hope, but gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried. Since that first time out I've been addicted to it. LOL at ditchhangers post, I'll see you at the reg. truck next event sir

Hardly post on Nabisco, but had to put in my two cents. I don't know what happened to make this person think of the Subaru drivers that compete in autocross in that way, but who's being the elitist now? I got irritated when they put down our social meats, and stated that like they were the only ones who really "used" their suspension. Yeah, our autocross courses are short, but that is due to the limited area that they can use. This doesn't mean that the courses are easy, if that was the case, everybody would be battling for FTD. I hope when and if they do come out and grace us with their "superior" driving skills that they really do have some.

Hmm... I'm a bit confused on how people could know and make assumptions about auto-x and not even have tried it. Its the only LEGAL form of racing on the island that we have. The short runs are due to the limited space that we have at the stadium. I'm not even sure they realize how much the time the volunteers, many of which are part of the "other subaru club" (i.e. ditchhanger, poser, and myself to name a few) put into making the events happen and run smoothly. I'm sure SCCA would be open to there assistance and volunteered time to make the runs longer and still have them run smoothly.

AWD/RWD/FWD. Many forms, all types of cars are welcomed. As I have stated before many times, IT STILL is the ONLY form of legal motorsports on Oahu. Period.
I don't know how people can call themselves enthusiasts if they have not tried something. When I can legally blast straights, esses, chicanes and off-cambers at high speeds again, I will. Until then, I will continue avoiding the cones in the parking lot.
