well it seems that we have a little confussion, i bought it in october of 2005, and i paid 14,000 with taxes and tags. i was wanting to know what kinda mods you had on it.

i had an accessport, invidia downepipe, and sti/carbon ti exhaust, and sti wheels/tires. on the sti exhaust the car was good for a 13.8@100mph. dont worry i didnt dump the clutch and the car only saw about 3 runs.
on the twisties i never had trouble keeping up with the sti's

 

how comes you didn't leave it all on the car. you should have left the accessport stage 1 on the car. that would have been a really cool surprise. i love the car its broken down right now i blew a head gasket. other than that i have a cold air intake perrin big turbo inlet pipe. and i have an STi wing installed. in about 9 months its really gonna get hooked up. i'm going with the gruppe-s stage 2C with the STi RA special edition gear sets, STi front lower control arms with the tein flex coilovers but all of this will happen when i get back from iraq. and i'll also be back in virginia. big plans but its gonna happen i want to leave the car stock looking i want to powder coat my wheels black though, and maybe an STI hood scoop. i love the sleeper look. or just low key.

 

lol knate, you had an STi wing installed and you want an STi hood scoop? that aint really sleeper. did you come to the Kapolei meet a few months back? i met someone named Nate from KBay, same person? shaka!

 

well sleeper look.....kinda lol umm guess not.... i guess i was just saying i don't want to put any aeroparts on my car like lips or sideskirts maybe a rear defusser but i doupt it. that just leaves more money for power. na i haven't been to any meets

 

sorry to hear it broke down, I didnt have any problems while i was driving it. Have you looked into why the head gasket blew?
My thought is the intake may have thrown off the mafs, causing the car to knock(???). As a general rule of thumb id stay away from intakes unless you are dynotuning them in. anyhow at 14 with fees it sounds like you found a good deal. gl with the mods, and btw if you still have the proxes-4 on those wheels, ur gonna be really surpprised by the handling when you change tires.

 

why do you say that about those tires. i've heard good things about them. or are you saying if i put on new ones

 

well the sti wheels/tires made a world of a difference, and re070s arent that great. Try a set of s03s, ps2s, eagle f1s, or rt615s and you will be blown away by the difference. I raced a bunch of sti's at 13 turns and none of them could loose me.

 

i've heard good things about the kdws, i'm think about just getting slicks for days i just go out looking for a race, but i'd have to check the weather first.
