Anyone interested in a Swain Coated Header?
I'm not selling one. This will be a equal length header that'll work on any 02+ EJ Turbo Engine. So this includes WRX, STI, FXT, TR...etc. I'm not sure if it'll fit on a Legacy engine but I will find out. Swain coating costs $175-$225 to coat the factory header this is excluding the shipping costs.
The situation is there is a GB going on at the moment for a Swain Coated EL header that looks very promising. There is only 5 spots available for a killer price and 4 of those 5 spots are filled up. The price is $500 (not sure if this includes shipping).
Let me know if you're interested.
Jon
the catch is that this is a prototype header at the moment and there is a 4 month wait time after the slots are filled. These 5 people will be paying a special price that relates to the tooling costs to manufacture these headers.

well you are right about christmas though...
well we're hoping to have this done so that the 3 of us that are on the list from HIIC can get it by the Feb tune but that might be highly unlikely though

what type of information do you need? This is all the information that we have.
this is from the original thread:
lmk asap so that If you plan on signing up I can provide you with the link.
Jon
this is from the original thread:
I just got word that the tooling fee for these bends is $2,500.00
After I pay the tooling fee it will be four months before they will be assembled , coated, and shipped to you.
This will work with both types of oil pans.
If you would like to help me do this faster. I need 5 guys to sign up for the prototype cost, which is $500.00. After five guys sign up and pay thier money, it could take up to four months for me to deliver them.
You would not have to pay the five hundred until five guys have signed up. Their are ONLY five at this price, to cover the tooling fee. List price on these Headers will be $995.00.

I was searching for the original thread, but nothing popped up. The info I was looking for was things like, who's building it, who designed it, why would I get one of these vs. Gruppe-s, UR, FR, or whoever. Has the proto been flow benched (every tube being, apparently, the same diameter is EXTREMELY suspect to me)? If it's all in the original thread just point me in that direction, I missed it the first time around and searching > me this AM.

well the only info I have is what was posted. This will be made by WBR. There is no posts here and its on another separate forum. Each tube will be the same diameter at 40.xxxmm and currently there is not bench test etc because the picture you're seeing is the prototype and there is no final product yet. The 5 people fe what I understand will get the final product at $500 (not sure of shipping charges yet). The 5 positions at $500 are to cover the tooling cost to make the header. These will be equal length and swain coated which most headers aren't.

its up to you and no one is pulling your ark to get in on this. I just figured id pass on something I found somewhere else that is compatible. There is nothing wrong with each pipe bing the same diameter and having no huge collector.
