anyone going to the 'super sale' at the blaisdell?
Groupon's got $4 for two tickets to get in - is it worth it? I've actually got night shifts again this week so thought i'd check it out in the morning
(i faintly recall going to one of these sales on the mainland and by the third day the tables were pretty bare)
anyone interested?

They CAN be good to find deals if you are knowledgeable about the product you want to buy.
For instance, you can usually find some nice electronics but you better know how to check that the stuff is more or less legit. Thankfully, we have smartphones these days that you can scan barcodes and look at pictures for verification.

Is that the event where they advertise electronics and stuff at ridiculous prices? I think they have it every year or something?
I've never been to one, but someone told me that some of the items are just some off-brand stuff.. Like for instance..yeah, a 1000W amp - made by Pyle. etc.
Never had a chance to check it out myself though - date/time?

I went to one. There were some good deals on clothes. (I think I left with like 4 pairs of surfshorts for $30) But if you are going for electronics, buyer beware.
We were looking at PS3's for example. Half of them were missing the serial numbers off of the boxes and had their warranties voided for stickers on the back removed etc. I was also thinking about picking up a double din dvd/cd player for my car. Looked up a couple they had on the table online, they were selling it for more at this "sale" then I could buy it for online + shipping.
there are deals to be found, just keep your guard up and do your homework first.
