Anyone did own front grill???
Im trying to do the JDM front grill look for my Legacy and was if anyone had experiences doing theirs??,...
Skubbie02 showed me his STI front grill and it looks nice and Im not sure how it looked OEM,..
If you look at this thread:
http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showt...227#post205227
you will see that after cutting out the stock plastic center pieces, you'll have a open "space" left behind on the top, and actually 2 other "open spaces" on the left and right side,..
Check out this link:

Is there anyway to cover this with like duct tape or other "cover" and then use like epoxy over it then paint??
By looking at the very first thread, seems like the guy just put the grill in "front" of the open spaces so that you wont see them, but I think that having it put back "recessed" will have a better look,..
what's your opinion??

there are 3 different types you can buy for the Legacy GT
Surface Mesh

How much did you get yours for?? Good idea, but I like the simple plain black grill look,...
Anyways,..guess I was asking here cause just wanted to know if anyone "locally" modded their grill so that I could get some insights or knowledge on how they did it,..that is why i asked and not posted on Legacygt.com (Ive read all the posts),..
At least this way, I could get the lowdown that someone went to City Mill or Home Depot instead of "X-Depot" in some town in the states and so on and so on,..
Plus,..DIY is learning and from what the costs of JDM and other aftermarket grills are going for, I cant see spending $350-$500 just for a front grill when I can get parts for $30-$40,...
thanks for any input,..

It was def in the $300-$500 range but i wanted something unique. I also wanted to keep my stock grill incase i got sick of the aftermarket one and could just revert back to stock. I know this is a looks mod vice a go fast mod but im waiting till i get to cali to do anything. I dont want to start performance tuning till i can get a AWD dyno to do it right.
